Regular PC maintenance: Only authorized personnel can deactivate HDGUARD protection, for examples when new software such as a virus pattern update is to be permanently installed on your PCs. For more comfort use the service key feature: Register your own USB-stick as a service key. So you and your colleagues will have quick and easy access to all protected computers, without sharing the password.
Partition types and options: Up to 32 partitions can be protected under Windows 2000 / Windows XP and Windows Vista, whether created as FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS is depending entirely on the operating system. Option to notify user of HDGUARD protection when attempting to make changes to a protected partition (except C Drive). Or else you can even make HDGUARD completely invisible!
Test and installation of new software: HDGUARD is also suitable for testing new software, since it has a mode that enables it to accept newly integrated software. This mode can only be activated via the password.
