The PrinterControl module attends to all aspects of printing in a network and provides you with far-reaching control options.

When printers are used in a network environment, users often print in a thoughtless manner. As a result, issues such as multiple print orders can be triggered, which leads to unnecessary consumption of ink, toner and print media.

INiS-PrinterControl helps you use printers sensibly and economically:

With PrinterControl, the volume of print orders can be limited. You have the option to determine the total number of printouts per student and/ or to limit the size of the printouts by means of specifying the number of pages. Define, in addition, a time frame (preset at 30 seconds) in which INiS processes each additional print order of a student as a multiple print  and does not activate it.

Automatic addition of page headers

A page header can automatically be added. You can determine whether the name, the class and /or the date should also be printed on each page. 

By releasing the printer, you can dynamically assign network printers, fax software and AcrobatWriter, among other things, to the students and then block them again.

In this way you can control, for example, distibution and load balancing to multiple printers, resultion in shorter print queues and wait times.

Alternatively, you can see the selected prints in a scalable matrix overview directly from the teacher’s station and cancel them, if necessary. 

Prints that are canceled by students are displayed here with a strike-through line, but they are still available and can be reactivated.
